You don’t escape life at retirement, you just get to walk away from your 9-5 job and extra responsibilities of family, if you planned out so.

At our core, we all seek survival, connection, growth, pleasure, service, freedom, commitment but what that looks like varies from person to person. Here’s what  these virtues truly drives us:

 

1. Survival: Even in modern society, people still experience “fight or flight” responses to threats, just like our ancestors did.

6. Freedom: Creativity, self-determination and independence form the pillars of freedom. Countries have been going to war to find freedom. You are no different, it is your basic need.

 

7. Commitment: How good are any of your values if you don’t have the discipline to commit. Commit to yourself, your true self and see how well you have been designed to fit.
